[walter biscardi] "[cofe] "the difference is that the ioHD only allows for prores422 HD"
Incorrect. All compressed HD formats are supported including DVCPro HD and HDV."
I need to clarify here that the box itself does not encode to DVCPro HD or HDV. It does allow you to capture to DVCPro HD via software just like the Kona 3 uses the Apple software to encode HD-SDI material to that codec on a desktop. And HDV playback only is supported, just like the Kona 3, assuming your processor is fast enough to play it out in realtime.
