We just picked up the Kona LH and I've got that warm all over new gear feeling. Want to say first that I like the interface to the software and the hardware (KL BoX) feels real solid.
We are having a few issues that I'm anticipating working out.
So here's what I'm seeing: We are working in DV and monitoring out through the AJA. I'm taking the analog composit out to my monitor. That works fine. The playback on the desktop however is a few frames behind.
That's the video, now the audio. The audio through the Kona Monitors is in sync with the video signal out of the card, but out with the desktop video (the desktop video is behind.) Also when I stop the playhead there is an echo where it palys the last few frames of audio again. If I monitor through my Digidesign MBox I don't get the Audio issue, just on the Kona.
Also scrolling through the sequence and play start and stop seem sluggish.
I've left a message for tech support, but if anyone knows offhand what I'm seeing I'd appreciate some advice.
Our system:
dual 2ghz G5
8gigs RAM
2x 200 gb firewire 800 7200 rpm drives
Aja Kona LH (just for monitoring DV for now)
