"Until recently, we had been editing our HD footage using our dual 2.5GHz G5s with Final Cut Pro HD (4.5) and the AJA KONA2 Capture card using the HDSDI out of a Panasonic 1200A Deck. This configuration had been working flawlessly. We recently upgraded to OS X 10.4.2, and Final Cut Studio (FCP ver 5)."
Welcome to Quicktime 7.0.2
this is a known issue in the QT upgrade ( it however worked properly in QT 7.0.1) there is a long thread with walter and I - go back a couple of weeks on this board and you will see it, and the solution.
