Thanks...for the punt! I HAD hired someone, who was out of commission from a motorcycle accident, so I thought I might find some help here...guess I shouldn't assume so much.

Bob Zelin, thanks for your assistance with the K2 control panels. Fixed the audio capture problem, discovered that the RS422 issue was the cable. I had used easy setup, and hadn't found the DVCPro50, but now I have.

You may be interested to learn that the freeze frame issue I had (freeze occurred every 30 seconds during capture) came from the X-serve Raid driver, for which an update was issued two days ago. Problem now fixed with driver update.
