As I said, this may not be *the* solution, but it's interesting to see that my graphics card isn't officially supported by Adobe.

I'm currently using the nVidia 7.0.7.8 driver, have openGL disabled and haven't managed to crash out the Video Preview all morning (cross fingers!)

Try disabling OpenGL, it can't hurt!
