Tiger and Cinewave, one slightly odd issue

When FCP starts up - I get a message warning me to get rid of other YUV codecs because it could cause conflicts. I have installed some Black Magic and Sheer Video codecs to see what they look like. But so far no problems. But why wouldn't I get this before? It seems like a Cinewave window - why wouldn't it come up before?
And I went to export some footage to Mr. Simonson for test purposes - and...there was no Cinewave YUV 8 bit HD option! MIA. Why would that happen? But it's playing it back - just not there as a QuickTime conversion export option.
Go figure!
