Hi Iolo,
The PipeStudio Card Only option is indeed $1749. This is the purchase price not including the 25% rebate you get for sending in your old Igniter card should you choose to do this. The final price for the upgrade would then be $1312, or 33% off the price of a full PipeStudio.
