Tiger Igniter X Qt 7 FCP 4.5 not working properly with uncompressed material
by Christian Vorbeck on Jun 3, 2005 at 4:01:23 pm

Hi, I've just upgraded my system to Tiger 10.4.1, Quicktime 7.0.1, FCP 4.5, Igniter drivers to 6.4.2, Igniter X, ATTO UL3D, Dual G4 Quicksilver an I am having some problems;
Presets changed, on easy setup I've lost all the Igniter Uncompressed presets, now I get some Cinema tools, lot's of DV's,Offline HD and Offline NTSC. The only presets I have are Uncompressed 10 bit NTSC and 8 bit NTSC. But when I try to capture, on capture presets I only get Generic Capture Template, and when trying to change this to capture uncompressed i get "codec error: the image frame size may not be supported", this is when I change the generic capture template and select any uncompressed codec with 720*486 frame size. So I can't capture uncompressed material. The only way of capturing 720*486 is using Aurora MJPEG codecs, but this is compressed. In summary I've lost the ability to work with uncompressed material. Even uncompressed projects made before the upgrade wont playback on my external monitor, is as if the uncompressed codecs with 10.3 are different to the 10.4 codecs, they shoul be compatible, correct?

Any help will be appreciated, if continue to not working I would have to go back to 10.3.9.

Thanks
Christian
