I had a similar problem until I upgraded to FCP 6.0.4 and KONA drivers 5.1
and Mac OS 10.5.4. FCP would hang, mostly during an edit to tape function,
and then you couldn't completely quit and had to restart. Sometimes there were
capture issues but mostly edit to tape trouble. It could be the upgrades would
help you too.
