Confirmation on HDV 50i to SD DVD interlaced needed!

I've searched the forum and found some answers to my question, but i still need confirmation 'cause i'm not quiet satisfied with the quality of the image.

Is it true that when i'm exporting HDV 1080i50 timeline trought Compresor to 16:9 interlaced DVD format Compressor handles the fields properly for me?

It's 1080i50 PAL HDV to PAL 50i SD DVD.

I basicaly need only a "Yes" answer if it's true ;-).

Thx for the help, and sorry if it was mentioned before and i'm making a mess on the forum... ;-).
