More info on your machine please.
Honestly I would be suppressed it it will even take a 2 gb chip of ram, I would be surprised if any G4 machine could take more then a 1 gb chip in any one slot.
There are no "technical solutions" to your "artistic problems".
Don't let technology get in the way of your creativity!
