Re: Tiger MetaLAN with FCP systems

MetaSAN has failsafe, but I do not know MetaSAN, and I have not played with it. My discussion is on MetaLAN, which requires a dedicated single server that CANNOT be used as an Edit Station. MetaLAN can use multiple servers for greater efficiency, but this means buying more dedicated computers, and more dedicated MetaLAN licenses for the servers. My discussion is about INEXPENSIVE ways to do this.

If you want more information on MetaSAN, I suggest that you either call Tiger Technologies, or post on the SANNetworks forum on Cow. I know almost nothing about what MetaSAN can and cannot do, and I do not want to give you inaccurate information.

MetaLAN is not MetaSAN, and opperates differently. Let me assure you that you will NOT be editing on your MetaLan "server".
