Here is a useful tip - even in a crappy program like Adobe Premiere you just right click a clip and select speed, enter the value and its done; no rippling timeline, just a new 'out time' of the selected clip. Now that is logical to me.

So Michael I accept the fact that there may be many tricks with FCP I am yet to learn as I bounce daily between 5 different editing applications and 3 different pro audio programs but can you tell me how I can apply individual audio track names other than just numbers?
