....NO....
I figured the only way to do it is to convert them both to the same format (export.. probably, maybe compressor), which will of course induce some loss in quality, then it should work. I haven't had to deal with this yet, but I have a bunch of tape I have to edit in the next month that I really want to be able to do this.. so I'm pretty sure this is a valid work around, it's just not great, especially when I KNOW this used to work, it really kinda sucks that this was a feature they removed with an update.
