You don't get speed from a single drive, you get speed from an array of drives. You protect your media by running in RAID 3 or RAID 5 so when you do have a drive failure (all drives fail eventually) you don't lose your project.

Our MaxxDigital EVO HD arrays have Hitatchi 1TB drives in them, 8 per array.
