Some people also jump off of bridges and others drink Yaegermeister, that doesn't mean you need to listen to them.

By delivering anything other than a 320x240 video to Youtube you are simply wasting bandwidth. As I said, I'm not certain what codec your archaic ver. of FCP can deliver, but you clearly can't deliver 8-mins of DV, as that is going to be approximately 1.5 times the new 1gb file size limitation, which BTW requires the Youtube Uploader and which is unfortunately only available for Windows presently.

Anything else the others have told you that I can address?
