Tom thanks for giving us that information. I am supposing by checking that "legacy" option in quicktime it allows quicktime to see the older version of the meridien codecs.

I keep a folder of the avid codecs just in case they need to be reinstalled. Avid updated its codecs 1/8/08 it seems. They're now version 1.8.0 and the old were 9.4.2 It seems counterintuitive.

Glad to know there is a way to view/use both versions.
