Just to chime in really quickly. I have the HD-SDI version of this monitor and it's the best monitor I've seen personally. The off axis viewing is a little weak and the glossy screen might bug you if you have lights behind you that can reflect.

If you do a web search on Terence Curren and this monitor you can find his review. He runs a post house and sees much higher end monitors regularly. He gave this one a very high rating.

Personally, I hated spending the money but everytime I look at footage on it (from my new RED especially) I get over it. I think you could do great with a non HD-SDI version if you don't need it. It's not a $25k monitor, but I think it'll put your mind at ease when color correcting.

The best advice is buy where there's a return policy... but odds are you'll be blown away by the quality.
