I "found" my missing boris by searching for "boris" in the finder. It was somehow moved into an improper plug-ins folder. I just dragged the plugs back into the system plug-ins folder and it is now back to normal. Strange days indeed.

Dual Core 2 Duo 3.0Ghz, 6GB ram, 2x500GB Raid, Tiger 10.4.11, FCP 5.1.4
