DV Output
by Ryan McCarthy on Feb 6, 2008 at 11:28:13 pm

I have a Sony HVR-M15U HDV/DV deck connected via Firewire to my PowerMac G5 w/FCP 6 and a monitor connected to the deck via S-Video. When I use the Print to Video option in an HDV project, I am able to record to tape, which means that the computer is sending a signal through the deck, but right now I am working with a DV project and I cannot view what I am working on on the monitor, this also brings up audio issues, I cannot hear what I am working on (I am running a line from my headphone jack to my speakers for now). I have tried switching just about every setting on the deck and the computer and have gotten nowhere. Any suggestions?
