I'm sorry to see you have not gotten a response to this. I was really hoping to see good information here.
We've been struggling with the same issue. We have an AJ-HD 1400P that actually needs to be told what signal it is to receive. We were outputting 720p 24 from our timeline and the deck needed to be told we were sending 720P 24.
I'll let you know if we are successful with the 1080i print to video.
Don't forget to reset your deck...
