EDL, Avid to FCP

I have an EDL (CMX 3600) from an Avid Adrenalin, NTSC Widescreen.
I brought the EDL into FC Pro 6.0.2.
FC created a sequence with all the cuts and a folder with all the uncaptured media.
I selected several clips and captured.
The media went to the timeline but everything has to be rendered and the image is not widescreen (anamorphic)
If I open the media in the source viewer, it is widescreen. If I cut the clip into the same sequence as the unrendered sequence it play fine and is widescreen.
I have been quite cautious with the capture settings, the timeline and compression setting to make sure they match, and that anamorphic checked. If I do render a portion of the timeline, it will play but the image is not widescreen.
I am new to FC, so I hopefully am making a newbie mistake.
I also know about Automatic Duck, but this is probably the only sequence I will have to transfer, so most likely won
