send to STP problems

hi
I have used final cut for a long time and just started using STP (v2)
I want to use send to STP multitrack project in FCP. when I do this everything seems fine but in STP the levels are wrong, most of them are at zero. The fades doesnt work, I can se them but they act like a cut. even when I send to STP multitrackproject without fades and make the fades in STP, I cant hear them and the levels are off.
I want to be able to edit in FCP and roughly mix the audio and then send to STP and make the final mix there. I guess this is what STP is for, right?
