Apple ProRes codec... render-lay to tape?
by

This is my first time using Apple ProRes.... I needed to save on space and now I've got the ability to do so with ProRes. So far so good... grfx are a little soft but considering....
ISSUE: I digitized a 2 hour show, made the changes and am ready to lay to tape. FCP 6.0.1 (on a Quad G5 3.0ghz, 3tb raid, AJA Kona3) is stating that I have to write video/render before I lay to tape. Is there something that I'm missing or not setting properly? Please someone bring clarity to a cloudy area of FCP for me.
big time thanks,
Ron
