After an ulcer forming pre-game i was able to output the video with the proper apsect ratio that fit the video board. Your right, it was a matter of making an anamorphic letterbox in 4x3 ratio that was able to be stretched to fit the board, however i achieved this in AE. I WILL on the other hand be testing your method in FCP. It sounds much easier than having to bounce back and forth from program to program. I'll let you know if this works.
