Re: HVR Z1U capture issue please help

Josh,

Forgive me for asking the obvious, but that's the only way I know to troubleshoot:

When you play back your tape in the camera, you can see the video on it's lcd?

Any chance you recorded in 60i mode by accident?

Any chance you recorded in DV mode by accident?

If you set the iLink Convert to On, can you see the video on your computer when set to a DV easy setup?

You don't state how you're connected to your computer..... Firewire? Have you tried a different cable? (I know you mention you have machine control, but I don't know if the same pins are used for the data stream and other functions.)

You mention that the "AV to DV Out" setting is off, but I don't know of any such setting on the Z1u. Which menu is that in?

Regards,
David
