Scrolling Text End Credits (for dummys)

Time for our credits, but final cut does a lousy job with scrolling text. I guess I have Photoshop, Motion and After Effects but I'm novice with those programs, Is there any place you can get a scrolling text template or does anyone have some advice so that I can bang these credits out without learning a whole new program?
