FCP-Mac anomaly
by The Heat on Sep 7, 2007 at 6:32:36 pm

For several days I have been experiencing an unusual/frustrating anomaly with FCP. When I start my computer in the morning and retrieve a FCP project (any project) FCP starts fresh. As if I have trashed preferences. None of the settings from the previous day are available. I have to reassign my preferred timeline, scratch disc, the whole fresh setup procedure. I have attempted to restore my settings using FCP Rescue. I've attempted to save on my MBP and drag and drop prefs. This problem only occurs when I start or restart the machine. It does not occur when I've closed a project and return to it later. I have repaired permissions from safe boot. I believe I have taken as many maintenance steps outside of using Disk Warrior, IDefrag etc.
Thanks in advance.
Dual G5 PowerPC
2.5 GB ram
FCP 5.1.4
OSX 10.4.10
Promax serial ATA
