I'm working with FCP 4.1 on a G4. You can't re-digitze the video into the FCP because it will not recognize line 21, where the captioning is.
I'm just looking for a cheaper solution than the Black Magic Decklink to do a simple insert edit onto a Beta SP tape.
I am aware of the issues you presented in your reply and thank you. CC is very ticklish.
