Yo Dog Food :)
If you had not been a long time member, I would have thought that you were just a WD rep trying to promote your products :) You are excited by your latest purchase and have a clear preference for a manufacturer and that's fine. But I have to comment your "truth" :)

- Fact is that LaCie d2, Big Disks and Bigger Disks feature an aluminum casing. WD drives feature a plastic casing.
- LaCie d2/Big/Bigger drives are assembled in Oregon. The quality of assembly is impeccable and I invite you to visit our facility anytime you want.
- You said that you did not pack the drives very well. Any kind of hardware that is shipped with poor packaging would get damaged. We ship thousands of drives everyday all over the world to resellers and end users and obviously they arrive in good conditions.
- We are always developing new products for the Mac platform (17 years and going strong). Other manufacturers are coming late to the Mac, following LaCie's footsteps. Imitation is the best compliment.
