Can you not SWITCH a multiclip in the Viewer?
by editblog on Sep 28, 2006 at 8:10:13 pm

OK, I am stumped... I usually do my music videos in Avid but today it's FCP! I've made a multiclip with my 21 angles, and add edits and switch the angle just fine in the timeline. I've mapped my switch to previous and next video angle to / and * on the keypad, and they work fine in the timeline. But in the viewer, the multiclip will not switch. Neither with these mapped keys or the button in the button bar. I can put the 'switch to video angle 3' in the button bar and that works but not the 'switch to next.' I could have sworn this worked before.... and I can't imagine not being able to switch a multiclip an angle at a time. Confused! Thanks.

I've been posting around the various FCP forums today trying to figure this out so if you've seen this elsewhere.. then you are on a lot of forums!

Life is linear. Edit life.
