Using Apple's Logic to edit audio in FCP
by Jack Pinard on Aug 2, 2005 at 5:19:39 pm

just got started using Logic and like some of their plug-ins and the presets that come with them. I'm using Logic Pro 7 on a dual 450MHz G4 with 1.25GB of Ram. Also running FCP 4.5 (HD) and Quicktime 6.5

I had some noisy video footage shot by the ocean and wanted to reduce the waves sounds by using Logic's "Denoiser" plug in so dialog would be cleaner.

I set FCP up so that Logic is the video and audio external editor. When I'm in FCP and ask it to open clip in editor - Logic launches but after going through start up - it crashes and I get the "Application has unexpetedly quit" message. This happened without fail 5 or times before I stopped.

Anybody got an idea about what's up? Can I even use Logic to edit FCP video clips?

Thanks
