Thanks for the links. Searching this and other forums I've found several threads addressing this problem....none with a real clear solution.

The Digital Rapids products look quite capable but it appears they're all windows only. Unfortunately, we are Mac-only and adding new hardware isn't an option.

And, to complicate this even more, the solution we end up with needs to support closed captioning.

Frustrating...
