Trying to reduce wind with high pass

Hey Guys,
I have a video with a lot of wind in it, so I put a high pass in at about 350hz. It takes the wind out really well, however, it leaves behind these really sharp sounds, that are either digital artifacts, or something caused by the bass overpowering how much the mic could take in. I'm not too sure.
So I'm asking: Is there any filter I can put on to reduce these sharp scratches. There's about 10-15 of them in about ten seconds and they only last 2-3 frames. Any suggestions?
