Scott Phillipseffects render issue

Not sure what I did wrong. Added Bad TV effect to a clip. Once rendered the right third of the screen is black. It is as if it would not render in widescreen. Not sure if I clicked something wrong or a setting is in correct. Before rendering if I move the play head over the clip the effect looks correct but once rendered it is wrong. Any help?
