simple text causing drop frame with MINI-SAS

Hi guys,

So I just recently upgraded my storage system to stardom st8 MINI-SAS with 8 x 3tb hitachi drives raid 6

Its super fast compared to my previous esata raid5 drive and I can't be happier

until... I drop a text edit in to add a simple text... it drop frames when i play over the text. After I render "full" then it can play nicely, but it should't render such a simple text right? I never have this problem even editing using usb2!

Furthermore, After it goes through the text layer and drop frame, it slows down the whole timeline. I can no longer can play it nicely without restarting FCP...

Please help

I'm using latest fcp with snow leopard on a macpro 8core
