[Shane Ross] "There's a LOT of pressure on Apple now. If they pull this coup, and fail to WOW and deliver a quality upgrade... it'll cost them."

This is literally "all in" for Apple. They have created a ton of bad publicity (which Avid is using very nicely) by muscling in on an event for which people paid money to see a really great lineup of presenters.

Now they want the party all to themselves. Either it's a flawless introduction of the best product we've ever seen or this will really blow up in their faces.

In the past I've said that the next FCP release will be the "put up or shut up" release from Apple. I guess they took that literally. Either way, looks like you and I have a ringside seat to "history." :)
