I'm having a similar problem. I just installed the latest FCP update, so now Compressor 3.5.1.

when i submit my job, all default settings Apple Devices:H.264 for iPod and iPhone, the task just continues to increase in time remaining and never completes.

I have tried the digital rebellion fix, the clearing my history fix, the restarting my cpu fix, on and on...

I'm running out of hope and ideas. my old compressor used to rock and roll, and now that i updated, it's yet to work.
