Yeah that's what I have been told.
But my additional question is, in OS X 10.6 + it has a new technology called "Open CL". Without going into a lot of detail Open CL can access Graphics cards that may not be using all memory or utilizing some of it's functions to greatly accelerate processing power.
You can read Apple's Aspect Paper about it here.
http://images.apple.com/macosx/technology/docs/OpenCL_TB_brief_20090903.pdf
I was wondering if anyone knows, that if I bought another ATI 4870 and stuck it into a open PCI slot, would Open GL has access it?
This may be a question for Apple forum but I thought maybe someone here is doing this or something like this already.
