Camera shake Plugin
by Martin Jordan on Nov 1, 2009 at 3:21:47 am

I remember back when Apple first introduced FCP 6 I believe...there was in the effects panel a plugin/option in the effects, I think it was called "anti-shake" ??? OR Smooth cam or something like that. Apple really touted this as a break through in fixing "shakey" video. Well...anyway, I remember seeing this and using it about 2 years ago or so.

Basically the way it work was, say you shot something handheld or on a car mount or something, and there was a slight jiggle, wiggling or vibration in the video. You could apply this effect and it would begin to read the entire clip and then re-render it "smoothing it out" and it worked quite well.

Well, we have since upgraded to FCP 7 and I was looking for it tonight and could find it.

Do you all remember what that effect was called, is it in FCP 7 and if so, where is it?

Thanks in advance.
