All good points.

But I think it behoves us to be a bit more pro-active.
Apple Inc is the consuner-focussed company that arbitrarily axed the FireWire port from the first unibody MacBook range - and only re-instated it when there was widespread concerted web protest from media-producing Mac users.

This year's Mac Pro revisions aren't competitively priced with other manufacturer's computers (the 2008 models very definitely were), The rumor mill (which of course we ignore) has it that this is a sign of Apple's accountants arbitrarily (worst case) axing the Mac Pro range a few more years down the line, or (best case) letting the design fester into obsolescence... :-(

A major ground-up revision of FCS will put those rumors to rest once and for all. :-)

My 2p - the linked topic of this thread, after all, is "to make sure that you're aware of where (Adobe is) going and ...if you have any thoughts about upgrading in the future..."
