I had issues yesterday with Motion and Soundtrack Pro not wanting to launch. I trashed their preferences, repaired disk permissions and shut down and then restarted. Restarting alone didn't help.

This got me going again, not sure if it will help your situation or not?

I'm running SL 10.6.1 as well.
