Not to drag this thread totally off-topic, I tried a 'share' export to iPhone for a 2 minute sequence I wanted to show someone. I gave up after 10 minutes - it said the export would take 45 mins. The sequence was 1080i50.

The same export using quick time conversion (iPhone preset) took 4 mins.

This was on an Octo-core 3.0 Mac Pro.
