I would only add that if space is an issue for you, depending on the amount of footage you have to work with, you might consider doing an offline/online workflow with ProRes Proxy as the offline codec, then onlining with ProRes LT or SQ.
You likely won't see any difference between using LT compared to the bigger SQ or HQ codecs. HDV is already so highly compressed, it would be difficult to see any added compression that LT might add.
