Conversion of Pal to NTSC will kill you.
It takes huge amounts of money or time to do it right.
The problem is not the gear anymore. You hire cams that are switchable, or you could hire 24p or 23.976 gear.
One big gotcha is the power frequency. It's 50 Hz in europe, making shooting under fluoricent light very dangerous.
