I've recently learned (through another thread on this forum) that I need a RAID setup for editing multicam with 3 streams of ProRes. So I'm curious to see how others do this, inexpensively.
I understand what RAID 0, 1 and 5 are, and have read the FAQ here:

So I'm not coming into this blind. And while that document says I CAN do those different setups, I'm curious about what other people are doing who have similar setups as me.
I currently have a Mac Pro tower, 2 x 3 Ghz Quad Core Intel, 16 GB RAM and four 750GB Hard Drives. I'm using HDV via an AJA IoHD to ProRes 422 (not HQ). FCP 6.0.6 (and soon to be 7). Current hard drives are 1)system (backed up to an external USB nightly via SuperDuper) 2) projects (includes supporting docs like graphics, backgrounds, etc.) 3) projects backup (using SuperDuper nightly) 4) media.
The question to the group is: which of the following options makes the most sense to you?
Option 1:
1 drive system 3 drives striped RAID-0, with a nightly backup to a 2TB external
Option 2:
1 drive system, 1 drive project files, 2 drives RAID-0, with a nightly backup of the RAID to an external 1.5 TB
Option 3:
Everything on the internal RAID, and purchase another RAID device like the G-Tech drives for a nightly backup via SuperDuper
I realize that a RAID 5 setup would be the best option for speed and backups, but money is tight, and I would prefer to use what I already have.
