Agreed, most of this would be centered on broadcast formats like MPG2 or MXF. But for the company I'm at ProRes is becoming the mezzanine format from which all broadcast formats are generated. So our library of ProRes files is increasing rapidly. I hope the products out there start recognizing this. I'm contacting Tektronix on the cerify product.
I'm thinking half of the problems we might encounter though would be from tape/signal before it even gets into FCP/Kona. I don't necessarily need a signal legalizer, but can anyone recommend a product out there that monitors video signal and flags video hits, audio pops/clips, etc?
thanks.
