Export from FCP for Use in Avid
by Tim Scarpino on Jul 21, 2009 at 5:45:28 pm

Greetings all,

We use Avid Media Composer (on approved PCs) in our shop, and recently received some HD material from a vendor that was exported out of FCP as uncompressed.

We are not able to open these .mov files in QT, or import them into Avid MCA.

After some investigation, it looks like there might be an export setting within FCP that would allow these files to be used on a PC.

Can someone please verify if that's the case with FCP, and what exactly that workflow might look like?

Thanks for considering,

Tim
