Browser keyboard shortcuts?!
by Drew Lahat on Jun 25, 2009 at 4:32:49 am

The first thing I do when I start using an NLE is learning its keyboard shortcuts - ideally what takes your time editing is the thought process, not the software. I'm well aware of the Button List and keyboard customization, however:

1. When logging items in the browser, I can't figure out how to move from the Name column to all the others. The arrow keys work within the Name column, but I want to move to the clip's logging fields to start entering info. A reasonable request, isn't it?

2. Tab will move forward through the logging columns, but nothing moves backward?? I even mapped Back Tab, to no avail.

3. Cmd+1-6 are handy, but there's also a shortcut that lets you toggle or cycle through ANY open window or pane inside FCP. Something with ~, Tab or Esc. I found it twice and forgot it twice, and it drives me nuts. Anyone?

Hopefully these are silly questions with easy answers.
