How to create a TXT file of Shots used & descriptions from final EDL
by Llewelyn Roderick on Jun 3, 2009 at 9:00:41 am

Dear Cows

I apologize if this answer is lying around. I'm on deadline (who isn't) and I need to provide the producers of the doccie we've finished with a list of all the shots used in the show so that they can work out how much stock footage they've used.

So I need a way to export (XML?) the EDL in such a way that I can see the shot descriptions, TC in, TC out, Dur etc.

I've exported an XML but do not have the time to clean it up...

I've tried Title Exchange Pro and XML2Text with no luck. Those very useful apps seem to be all about TEXT and not really geared to what I'm trying to do.

Looking forward to some really sharp feedback.

cheers

Llewelyn
